And some of the original internal use of the lecture hall, conference room, restaurant, etc. are placed on the first floor, so that the internal function also has external flexibility.Indoor and outdoor exhibition halls can be divided flexibly, media rooms with multi-function, conference and training rooms for cultural exchange and education, and landscape sites and facilities to encourage public participation.

The basic geometry of the building comes from the shape of the base. Through the rich combination of form, the exquisite organization of space such as eaves, atrium, courtyard, roof platform, etc., the architecture with positive response to the environment and rich sense of place is created.The building is anchored to the base by means of landscape construction such as large slope. Through the careful design of the roof garden, courtyard, Riverside Landscape platform and indoor greening, the experience of the surrounding natural scenery runs through people's walking, making the archives humbly integrate into the natural environment.The office room is located in the north, which can enjoy the superior landscape along the river. The conference space on the second floor can reach the viewing platform formed by the extension of the roof on the first floor, and the warehouse is located on the southeast side of the water in the South and East directions, isolating the noise of Huqingping highway.

One of the most important functions of the archives building is the archives. The designers stack the function blocks of the storehouse and its related technical rooms to produce a stable image like a huge stone. The surface texture of the stone louver and the stone external wall is a metaphor for the bamboo slips that recorded the history in ancient times.The curtain wall of the main part adopts the blue rough stone curtain wall and stone shutters with rich texture. The podium part mainly adopts the floor glass, and the stone shutters with transverse width change are hung where the local function needs.The warehouse area is covered with rough stone surface with vertical texture, decorated with vertical light strips, and the office area is covered with vertical stone blinds outside the floor window, with transition treatment at the intersection, so as to maintain the overall integrity and corresponding to their respective functions. The office rooms are floor to ceiling windows with external stone shutters, which form a unified skin texture with the stone skin of the closed space of the warehouse, and meet the use needs of different functions at the same time.The West facade of the office part of the archives adopts the method of floor glass window plus stone shutter. On the one hand, the office on the west side of the city can enjoy the ecological landscape. On the other hand, external shading stone blinds can also effectively play a passive energy-saving effect.

Through the fourth dimension of light change to perceive the existence of time.The interior decoration of Liwa hanging board with Jiangnan intention is adopted. Through the recollection of Jiangnan Water Town such as Qingpu, the architectural elements representing Jiangnan intention such as white walls, lattice windows and Liwa are absorbed to abstract, deconstruct and reshape them. They are expressed with modern materials and applied to the court of time, which not only reproduces the atmosphere of regional environment, but also is full of modern sense.
