Introduction
The Electronic Board of Edicts (EBE) is the new disposable service in the municipal electronic venue, which allows the citizens to consult, in a telematic way, the official communications of the City Council of Barcelona.The electronic publication of the edicts has the same validity than its publication in a physical support, the Electronic Board of Edicts substitutes the traditional boards of physical edicts, and allows to incorporate a series of functionality that makes the citizen the access to the information easier.
Reason to Be Selected
Any edict has a period of valid exhibition that can be consulted from an specific Portal. Citizens can filter the contents according to their searching interests through the subject, the administration in origin or make a personalized search by using a key word.The creation of this service is due to the Regulatory Ordinance of the Electronic Administration, which in the fifth chapter establishes the creation of the Electronic Board of Edicts as a consolidation of the policy that has to preside over the performance of the City Council in the area of the use of the TIC.

The Board guarantees the integrity and veracity of the contents and publications because all the documentation is signed electronically, being the first totally electronic administrative procedure that has been implanted in at the City Council.In a future it is foreseen that the Electronic Board of Edicts can contain also official notifications destined to citizens of Barcelona who have been issued by other public administrations of Catalonia or the rest of the State.
