Introduction
With the smartMap Berlin, users of smart phones and tablets can now put Berlin into their pockets – as a free app for iOS, Android and BlackBerry.Smart city, smart phone – Berlin has now made complex 3D content available for smartphones and tablets, too. At the beginning of 2012, Internet users were able to access the 3D model of the city via the Berlin economic atlas from all the standard web browsers. Now, the 3D model of the city has gone “mobile”.
Reason to Be Selected
With easy gesture-based controls, users will be able to navigate through the German capital or insert a specific address in a search field. The app displays information such as available commercial space, public transport connections, information about the healthcare industries or Berlin's science and research landscape.

smartMap Berlin-Real estate service The smartMap Berlin offers companies and investors a special type of service: Current real estate offers from the Business Location Center real estate portal are integrated into the app. Available commercial real estate and space can easily be found via red real estate markers. These vary according to the type of real estate. A click onto the real estate marker opens a window with additional information and the option of registering at the BLC real estate portal.
