As the conservation center of giant panda, panda new house is committed to promoting interdisciplinary cooperation. The design of the new house is organized around four circular open-air courtyards suitable for observation and visit. The building encircles the outdoor activity site in a way of embracing nature. With the ups and downs of the terrain and the winding changes of the water system, it provides a rich natural scene experience for pandas and visitors.

The wooden plank road connecting the venues defines the visitor's tour line and the panda's activity site. Tourists walk along the terrain between the outdoor activity sites of the New Panda House. The design of plank road combines underground, sinking platform and exploring branch road to make tourists immerse in it and ensure the adaptability of giant panda. In the indoor environment, visitors can observe the activities of giant pandas from the low level through the form of bunkers. The spray system provided around the building will simulate the natural environment to the maximum extent and create a comfortable temperature and humidity environment for the giant pandas.
In order to create a simulated outdoor living environment for giant pandas, cast-in-place concrete walls, wooden grilles and other "panda friendly" building materials are used for the facade of the building, so as to obtain local materials and improve environmental protection benefits.
