A finely crafted board formed concrete wall separates the parking area from the living spaces, and natural stone and weathered steel help bring clarity and consistency to a design for outdoor living that is at once thoroughly elegant, utterly welcoming, and perfectly at home in its stunning natural setting.”

Details
This secluded residence is located in the Sonoma Mountain Nature Reserve, adjacent to Jack London State Park. The overall planning of the project aims to optimize the connection between the external space and the building. The venue includes two small weeHouses, connecting walks and steps, swimming pool, outdoor barbecue area, private partitions and seating area. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces of the residence overlook the magnificent views of the Matanzas Valley.

The hard landscape uses natural stone, weathering steel and slab concrete, and is placed in the natural beauty of the ecological protection area in a gentle way. The courtyard contains the outdoor kitchen, swimming pool, gravel pavement seating area and stepped lawn. The special embedded system of the small swimming pool helps maintain the water temperature and protect the safety of nearby animals. The parking space above the living space is placed in the mountain.
